Lindell J. Allard

Lindell J. Allard, 83, of DuQuoin, passed away at 7:45 a.m. Saturday, March 25, 2000 at Marshall Browning Hospital in DuQuoin.
Lindell was a retired repairman for Freeman United Coal Co.  He retired in 1979.  He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in DuQuoin, UMWA Local 9721 and past member of the Robinson Elks Lodge.
He was born March 6, 1917 at Vergennes, the son of Julius Lloyd and Clara Marie (Boyer) Allard.  He married Frances C. Endres on April 28, 1939 at St. Louis, MO and she preceded him in death on June 5, 1997.
He is survived by one daughter, Carolyn Johnson and husband William of Elkville; one son , David Allard and Diana Halwachs of Elkville; one sister, Doris Frick and husband James of Cocoa, FL; five grandchildren, Crystal, Charlyn, Brad Allard, Angela Allard Reinitz, Shad Allard and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Monday, April 3 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in DuQuoin with Msgr. Harry Jerome officiating.
Entombment was in the Murdale Garden of Memory at Murphysboro.
There was no public visitation.
The Searby Funeral Home of DuQuoin was in charge of arrangements.
Friends may make memorials in the form of Masses.
